This game is being developed for our 2026 Capstone Project in the Honours Bachelor of Game Design Program at Sheridan College, Oakville, Ontario, Canada.

Aroma is an isometric adventure-puzzle game where cooking is the core way you interact with the world.

Instead of predefined recipes, players experiment with ingredients to create dishes that grant unique abilities.

Each dish becomes a tool for exploration, puzzle solving, and combat — shaping how you move through and understand the world.

Key Features

• Cooking as Discovery – Learn abilities by experimenting, not by unlocking menus
• System-Driven Puzzles – Dishes directly change how you interact with the environment
• Exploration-Focused Design – Some areas become accessible only after gaining new abilities
• Light Combat, Strong Integration – Abilities affect both puzzles and combat encounters

Current Build

• This demo includes:
  • One large map
  • 3 ingredients &  abilities
  • 2 enemy types 
  • Multiple puzzles requiring flexible use of cooking abilities
• This build focuses on validating the core gameplay loop and discovery experience.
